Our Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) program employs management systems with the philosophy of "Safety First." Integrating this program into each level of our organization and every aspect of our business helps reduce risk and increase productivity. At every level and at all times, our employees are expected to understand and demonstrate safe work behaviors. Our SH&E program includes a thorough risk assessment to identify all hazards and regulatory requirements, as well as the development of specific procedures to address these issues.

Safe is about working safely—building a strong well defined safety culture and detailed management systems for all that work on our projects. The USafe identity is our central visual prompt of working responsibly with safe work practices. HSSE USafe initiatives and programs sustain the focus on personal safety commitment.

As part of our company orientation, all employees receive safety training, including OSHA compliance, UGL Unicco’s general safety polices and procedures, and any special education based on particular site needs. In addition, we provide annual mandatory safety training to keep all employees up-to-date on the latest technologies and procedures.

Led by a Certified Safety Professional, a dedicated team of safety experts provides support to all sites. Our team will employ an incident-reporting process that automates OSHA record-keeping and facilitates on-site self-inspections and corporate SH&E audits. This process also provides readily-accessible data that can be analyzed to identify trends and develop preventive programs, helping to eliminate hazards and provide a safe work environment for our employees.
